With one of the largest Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) programs in the United States, Hall’s Arrow offers one of the nation’s most comprehensive youth archery programs, catering to every archer, from beginners shooting their very first arrow, to the top-ranked young archers in the country.

What is JOAD?

JOAD is a program of USA Archery which is offered at archery ranges and clubs across the United States. In JOAD, youth archers are taught range safety and proper shooting techniques in group classes. Students are taught as individuals, and each archer progresses at his or her own pace. At Hall’s Arrow, we offer twelve-week JOAD sessions during fall, winter and spring, and a shorter session in the summer. We offer JOAD classes, which are geared toward beginning and intermediate students, and Advanced JOAD classes, designed for those with more experience. Winter Class Schedule 2012

 

 

 

Beginner JOAD Classes (One Hour)

 

 

 

Weekday BEGINNER CLASSES will begin on Monday, January 9th, and end on Friday, April 13th

 

Saturday BEGINNER CLASSES will begin on Saturday, January 7th, and end on Saturday, April 14th

 

***There will be NO classes the weeks of February 19th or March 11th***

 

***Also NO Classes on Saturday, January 28th***

 

 

 

  • Cost: $120.00 for twelve-week session, as well as a $10.00 registration fee
  • If needed, equipment may be rented for $24.00 for the twelve-week session (bow and arrows)
  • Every archer is required to purchase their own armguard and finger tab by the first day of class
  • Weekend Classes: Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
  • Weekday Classes: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays at 4:30 p.m.

Advanced Competitive JOAD or NTS Classes (Ninety Minutes)

  • Cost: $180.00 for twelve-week session, as well as a $10.00 registration fee
  • Students must have their own equipment, and instructor’s permission, in order to enroll in either class.
  • Weekday Classes: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.
  • Weekend Classes: Saturdays at 12:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.
  • NTS Class: Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

*New! Adult Archery Achievement Adults-Only Instructional League (Ninety Minutes)

 

 

 

  • Cost: $120.00 for twelve-week session, as well as a $10.00 registration fee
  • Adult students must have their own equipment and be shooting at a distance of 18 meters
  • Format: practice/instruction from 7 – 7:30 p.m., followed by a scoring 450 round.
  • Wednesday or Thursday Nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – Beginning Wednesday, January 11th
  • Prizes awarded at the end of the league!
