Learn the basics at Hall's, and you'll enjoy archery for a lifetime!

Every Hall’s Arrow employee is a certified archery instructor through USA Archery (formerly the NAA) and the National Field Archery Association. Additionally, all of our employees have received personal training from Art Hall, who oversees all archery instructor training for the state of Connecticut.

Beginner lessons for children and adults are offered Monday through Friday at Hall’s Arrow. Lessons are taught beginning at 1:00 p.m., and our last lesson of the day is normally scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Lessons must be scheduled in advance in order to allow our staff to give you the undivided attention you deserve during a lesson.

Archers may be scheduled for lessons beginning at the age of 8, and there is no “age limit” for those who wish to enjoy shooting! In order to participate, younger archers must simply be able to follow safety rules and pay attention throughout the lesson.

The cost of a beginner lesson for one archer is $20 for a thirty-minute lesson. This fee includes use of our range, the instructor’s time, and use of our range equipment. If two archers would like to share a lesson, the cost is $30 total for the shared lesson.

If you have a group of four or more children or adults who would like to learn how to shoot, please call us to book a group lesson.

All archers must be at least 8 years old, and must be able to pay attention and follow safety rules. Group lessons are one hour in duration, and taught by one of our certified instructors. We are able to accommodate a maximum of twelve archers. The cost per archer is $12, and includes instruction, use of the range, and use of range equipment.

Group lessons must also be booked in advance, and are scheduled based on staff and space availability. Due to the time requirements involved with teaching groups, we ask that you call at least two weeks in advance when booking for a group.
